Fun Facts & Military Connections

My family has a long history of military service, going all the way back to the Italian Arditi – elite alps fighters in WW1 whose courage and skills won their descendants permanent rights to Italian citizenship. 

My parents met when my Dad (US Navy enlisted, photographer) was ordered to take photos of my Mom landing on the US Navy base in Morocco. My Grandfather was the Base Commander and my Mom was flying in for her college summer break. Dad brought flowers and the rest is history. 

My brother, while originally qualified to join as an officer, joined the US Army an enlisted Infantryman as boots on the ground in Iraq with the 4th Infantry Division. He earned his blue cord and served for 2 tours in Iraq. Later returning for education, he earned a masters in Homeland Security and was sworn in as an officer, gaining his parachutist badge and deploying to Afghanistan with the 82nd Airborne Division. He’s living a great life in Germany and travels as often as he gets, still serving. 

My son joined the US Navy and graduated basic training as The Honor Graduate. He was rated in shipboard communications and graduated top of his class in 'A' school. Enjoyed his first duty station in Spain, where he underwent more specialized training in non-compliant boarding school to learn to counter piracy and enforce sanctions and international maritime trade laws. He PCS’d to Guam where he repaired nuclear powered 680 class fast attack submarines. He is currently completing a tour as a recruiter just west of Boston where he has earned awards for his ability to fill the ranks. He and his family are excited to get back to active duty and look forward to a potential assignment in Japan.   

Geography and Why It Matters 

While I would absolutely LOVE all of your Boston area referrals, it is a complex geographic area. For instance, the area between my hometown of Beverly and Boston spans 18 miles and you’ll cross through about 7-8 unique cities, each with their own school district. If your client is active duty, they may only be coming to my area for recruiting duty or short-term assignments (rentals may be what they need depending on expected length of stay). The nearest military installations are 30-60 minutes away - Fort Devens, Hanscom Air Force Base, and the Boston Coast Guard Station. If they are already in my area and selling or are ready to retire and find their forever home, I can help with that. And of course, happy to serve your non-military relocation clientele as well. 

My hometown is Beverly, Massachusetts and I’ve made it my mission to be an expert on all things Beverly. We are about 30 minutes north of Boston with 12 miles of coastland, 100's of restaurants, 4 breweries, local music and theater venues, a public golf and tennis club, and 4 commuter rail stops that take you straight into Boston. I grew up in a mom-and-pop retail business downtown and have always had a close connection with the business community. I’m a foodie and believe one of the quickest ways to help someone new feel at home is to find their favorite food and introduce them to one of our local restaurants. I don’t just sell homes, I sell Beverly.
